commissions
One kind of collaboration is the commission, where a client expects me to produce a visual work within quite precise parameters and for a preestablished purpose. The “Détournement” was my approach to some commissions, as exemplified further down.
TO DALI - 32” X 32” - Oil, 1984
A painting commissioned by the late artist and art dealer Onik Sahakian, as an homage to his friend, the artist Salvador Dali. For this détournement project I used a 19th century painting on which I intervened with my own painting.
Similar to the preceding piece, a painting commissioned by the late artist and art dealer Onik Sahakian, as an homage to his friend, the artist Salvador Dali. This is also a détournement project for which I used a 19th century painting and upon which I intervened with my own painted elements.

CARINA AND CIELA - 30" X 24" - Oil and gold leaf on linen, 2004
This painting was commissioned by a private client as a portrait of her and her daughter. I used objects and fragments of objects from the client's art collection in her New York home as inspiration for the background setting of this double portrait.
“Celebration Turf” was a private commission on the occasion of the twenty-fifth wedding anniversary of my clients.
